Types of Families
Nuclear Family Includes two parents and one or more children
Single Parent Family Includes one parent and one or more children
Blended Family Formed when two people marry and a least one has children from a previous marriage
Extended Family One or two parents and children as well as other relatives, such as grandparents or aunts and uncles
Strengthening Family Relationships
Families become closer when they spend time together. Being involved in each others lives and sharing activities like hobbies, sports events and cooking together all help strengthen family ties.
